MATT TALBOT RETREAT GROUP 128
Annual Men’s Fall Retreat 2019
Friday, September 6th through Sunday, September 8th
Holy Trinity Monastery in St. David, AZ
ABOUT US: We are a group of
recovering alcoholic men of all races, religious beliefs, ages, and walks of life
who have recognized the need for help from a power greater than ourselves. We
gather for a retreat weekend in a setting that promotes fellowship and sharing.
Our Retreat is an opportunity to be away from the distractions of daily living
for a couple of days in order to devote time to spiritual recovery from
alcoholism. We use the retreat weekend to focus on one broad topic, led by a
Retreat Master who facilitates conferences about a particular topic several
times during the weekend. We strive to better learn how to utilize the tools
suggested in the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous.
OUR RETREAT MASTER:Peter F. McGoey M.A. MFC is a Primary Counselor at the Cottage Hospital COPE Intensive Outpatient Chemical Dependency and Mental Health Programs in Santa Barbara, California. He has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of California at Santa Barbara Continuing Education Department, Antioch University and Santa Barbara City College. He has led retreats for individuals and family members in recovery from alcoholism or addictions. Peter has completed the training to teach Centering Prayer focusing on 11th step Meditation for those in 12 step programs.
